I had already known of the name Alessia which is pretty popular in Italy but came across this name and thought it was beyond beautiful and can not get it out of my head.  I have seen it's origin as French, Greek & Italian with a meaning of "defending men".  This is a wonderful name which can be nick named to death which is the only thing I don't like about it, but very unique sounding and very very  beautiful.  The length of this name is so long that it will only work well if the middle name and last name is very short.

Don't you just love place names? I also bet you never thought to use this name, isn't it lovely?  I'd say its a boys name but I think could be used as unisex.  When I first heard it (for a name) I could not believe I had never thought of it before, it sounds very manly and modern in my opinion.  Just don't use Logan for the middle name or that could be a bit much LOL.

This is a Greek name that I have loved for years now, we considered this for our second daughter but in the end chose something else, but I will always love this name.  Pronounced (bri-say'-is).  You can hear this name in the movie Troy with Brad Pitt & Orlando Bloom.

I really like this name but I THINK it might be one that is gonna be common soon.  It is one that can be used on either a boy or a girl although I like it best for a girl.  I think I like it paired with the middle name Raya, it just has a nice ring to it.  Phoenix Raya, very pretty.

I am watching the latest Narnia and one of the characters is Prince Caspian, I have never heard that before other than the Caspian Sea, never considered for a name.  I have to say I actually really like it, it has a cool, manly, almost fantasy sound to it. I really love it.

I love this name, it is pronounced [ar-ree-ahn].  It is listed as being a Welsh girls name with a meaning of: Silver, shiny stars in the sky.  While its said to be a girls name I think it looks and sounds like a boys name, so I will list this as unisex.  If u are looking for something for a boy or girl that is different and unique that is not off the wall and has a familiar sound to it, I'd say this is it!

Vada

This has been one of my top favorites since the movie My Girl came out.  I thought after that movie you'd hear alot more of the name Vada, but I actually haven't; so I think that is a good thing.  My husband does not like the name so I can't use it for any future kids, but I still love the name very much.  If you want to turn this into a BOYS NAME you can by making it Vadan instead.   Some people spell it Veda, which is probably correct since the "E" does make the "eh" sound and this name is pronounced (Vay-da) but I like the look of it spelled with an "A" and that is how they spelled it on the My Girl movie, so I am keeping it that way.  hmmm I guess you could actully spell this Vayda, hey I LOVE THAT.
